Tenarius Wright Injury: Arkansas DL Out for Season

New, 1 comment

The Razorback senior had been shuffled to inside linebacker, but the nagging shoulder injury forced a return to his original position.

US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Arkansas' season of the damned continues, as defensive end Tenarius Wright is out for the year with a shoulder injury, head coach John L. Smith told the media on Wednesday.

Wright a senior from Memphis, who had started nine games entering 2012, spent some time at inside linebacker at the beginning of 2012. It was a move made out of need -- the Razorbacks had only one experienced linebacker, Alonzo Highsmith -- but Wright was moved back to his original position. Wright has 20 tackles for a loss and nine sacks.

The specific nature of the shoulder injury is unknown, but Smith was quoted as saying it was one of the reasons Wright was moved back to defensive end, and that the shoulder was an issue as early as summer camps. Wright had an MRI on the shoulder last week and sat out the Razorbacks' 24-7 win over Auburn on Saturday.
