The Hogs' football season starts in less than two weeks and fans are making their final predictions for the season. The difference between a good and great season is small. The hopes are high in Fayetteville and the third week of the season might be an indication of how the season will play out. Larry Hartstein, of CBS sports, checks out the best-case and worst-case scenarios for the Hogs.

Arkansas football is getting most of the headlines, but the Hog Basketball team just returned from a four-game series in Italy. The Hogs went undefeated, and Coach Mike Anderson liked what he saw from the team. Marshawn Powell finally got back on the hardwood and some freshmen had impressive showings. Here is a rundown, on ESPN, of the Hogs in Italy.

It's no secret that Razorback football team lost some of its fire power from last year. Some people believe we have lost too much to be contenders (not this writers opinion). Some even feel that a top 10 ranking is undeserved. The Hogs will have to come out of the gates firing to show some fans and writers they are the real deal. Bill Connelly, of SB Nation gives his preview for the Razorback season.

Bobby Petrino was back at practice Tuesday. Not an Arkansas practice though. He spent the day with former Razorback Offensive Coordinator Garrick McGee and his UAB football team. Petrino might not be a head coach at the moment, but he still can help an old friend out. Steve Irvine, of al.com, gives a report on Petrino's day at practice.

If there is a record for most face masks broken, Kiero Small might have it. Small broke a ridiculous amount of face masks last year playing fullback for the Hogs. This year will bring a new challenge for Small. He will be playing linebacker at times to help the thin defensive position for the Razorbacks. Adam Alter, at nwahomepage.com, looks at Small at his new position.

LSU Coach Les Miles will go all over the world to find recruits. Australia seems to be a place where Miles and his coaching staff have had some luck finding stud recruits. Brad Wing is LSU's star punter from down under. Miles and his staff hope they have struck gold again in Australian Freshmen punter Jamie Keehn. Paul Crewe, of andthevalleyshook.com, takes a look at their newest player from down under.
