Tevin Beanum, DE, 6-4, 235, gave his verbal commitment to the Razorbacks Thursday night. Beanum, who is from Forrest City, is the sixth in-state player to get an offer and the fifth to commit. He has flown under the radar for the past few months and has not been ranked on most recruiting services.
Beanum is the third defensive commitment in the past two weeks for the Hogs. The Razorbacks are rolling in recruiting this month, picking up four commitments in the first half of the month. All of the players are on the defensive side of the ball.
Coach John L. Smith has been nailing down in-state recruits. Five out of the six players offered in Arkansas have committed to the Hogs. The only player that has not is Altee Tenpenny, who is currently committed to the University of Alabama.
Beanum is the 14th commitment for the 2013 recruiting class, and is the first defensive end.
