In order for the Razorback football team to beat Tulsa last weekend; Cobi Hamilton had to have a big game. Well, Cobi came through. Hamilton's performances this season have been one of the few bright spots for the Hogs. He has ran through just about every defense he has been against. The Washington Post has more on Hamilton's outstanding season.
Jason Kirk of SB Nation has updated his bowl projections. Personally I would love to watch Oregon and Alabama in the National Championship, there would be huge hits and some offensive fireworks. The most intriguing match up in his projections might be the Cotton Bowl. Take a look and see what you think.
Basketball season is here Hog fans and the Razorbacks are being shown some respect nationally. Sounds weird right? It has been a while since basketball fans had anything to be really excited about. B.J. Young has already made the pre-season All-SEC team, and now he is being shown even more respect. Sports Illustrated ranks the top 10 basketball players in the SEC. I can't lie I was a little surprised where he was on the list, but he does deserve it.
Cobi Hamilton was not the only Hog to have a big game last Saturday. Defensive End, Chris Smith had a big night with 1 sack, 8 tackles, 2 pass break-ups, and a forced fumble. Smith earned SEC co-Defensive Lineman of week honors for his performance. Lindsey Tugman, of Today's THV, has more on Smith's big game. Is anyone else confused by the fact that Arkansas' got two huge performances by Hamilton and Smith and we only won by 4?
Georgia got some bad news following their game against Ole Miss. Stud Wide Receiver Marlon Brown tore his ACL and will miss the rest of the season. Brandon K. Scott of SB Nation has more on Brown's injury. Razorback fans know what it feels like to lose great players for the season. Starting linebackers Alonzo Highsmith and Tenarius Wright and fullback Kiero Small have all been lost for the Hogs, and those are just a few of the big injuries.
